Game Show

Announcer: Welcome! You're our next contestant on... Do I Call the Vet?

Me: I don't remember asking to play

Announcer: For our first round, choose which option you think will win the game.  Here's your scenario.

You go out to the barn in the morning and discover your pony is limping. Do you...
A) Give him some Bute and see what happens
B) Text your farrier, or
C) Call the Vet?

Me: I guess I'll pick A. I don't want to bother the vet with every little thing

Announcer: Sorry, that's not the winning answer, but you do get to play another round. Here's your next scenario.

You discover some blood in the pony's stall when you're cleaning. Do you...

A) Figure it was an abscess that broke open and put a poultice on it
B) Text your farrier, or
C) Call the Vet?

Me: I'll have to choose A again. Abscesses can do that.

Announcer: I'm afraid to say that's still not the winning answer. You have two more chances to win. Here's your third scenario.

The next day the pony is only marginally better and your daughter who has been a groom suggests contacting your farrier. Do you...

A) Decide to wait and see one more day
B) Text your farrier, or
C) Call the Vet?

Me: I'm still going to have to go with A.

Announcer: Sorry, wrong again. You're on your last chance. Here's your final scenario.

After waiting two days, you decide something might be really wrong. Do you...

A) Hope it doesn't get worse
B) Text your farrier, or
C) Call the Vet?

Me: On this one, I think I'm going to go with B and text my farrier.

Announcer: Oh, too bad! That is not the winning answer. I'm sorry, but you haven't won... Do I Call the Vet? The game show where the winning answer is always, Yes!

Voiceover speaking during credits... Yes, Ladies and Gentlemen our contestant did indeed text her farrier, who plays our game much better than our contestant, and who told her client to... Call the Vet! Which is why our contestant's pony, Buddy, will be having a lovely X-ray taken of his hoof tomorrow. Stay tuned for our next game show where horses are contestants who compete with each other to see who can rack up the biggest vet bills. The competition is getting fierce, so don't miss it.

So long, folks!
