Elsa!
Today there was a Deacons lunch after church. (Which was good because I go to the store tomorrow and the pickings were looking pretty slim.) It seems the Deacons decided that it would be fun for the kids to hire a character actor who plays Elsa from Frozen to come, because towards the end of lunch Elsa swept into the room where lunch was being held. I wish I had a camera ready to catch R.'s face when she spotted Elsa. It was priceless.
Both R. and H. love Frozen and especially love Elsa. This made their day.
We briefly wondered if we should go rescue Elsa from R.'s clutches, but the actress was extraordinarily good and managed to disconnect herself and stay in character. She was very good with both girls.
There was even a photo booth with some kind of instant camera. Both girls received photos (autographed!) with Elsa to take home.
When we eventually needed to leave and started to drag (figuratively) both of them to the car, Elsa offered to walk them to the car singing Let It Go as they went. It was a momentous morning.
They are now downstairs finishing the movie they started while we were fixing dinner. You've probably already guessed which movie they are watching... Frozen, of course.
