My 3-year-old is in preschool, because that's what works in our life situation, but I have been so grateful that it's a play-based preschool and there are no academic pressures. I see how he engages the whole world around himself through play, and I'm amazed at all the ways I see him learning and growing and enjoying himself. So much learning happens through play!Kristin Muellernoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25502633.post-41075650777435758442016-03-03T20:10:18.732-06:002016-03-03T20:10:18.732-06:00Riann,

Kindergarten is all about learning through play. It seems like the US has kids doing real academics so early. I went though public school and even having a Kindergarten teacher as a mom I didn't learn to truly read until grade 1 yet I graduated high school with an average grade in the high 90s. It drives my OCD side a little crazy to see him pushing buttons randomly instead of playing the game "like it should be played". I need to just leave the room and let him play as he would like.Carlanoreply@blogger.com
