Part of it is simply due to the fact I kept trying the food on my own just because I saw my mom enjoy eating them (radishes for example), and I figured there had to be something to it.<br /><br />Custard is another one I would gag on as a child, but now it's one of my favorite dessert. And okra? Never ever ate it until we went to Lambert's cafe in So. MO and I tried some of their fried okra - it was pretty great. Still don't like it though, unless it is well breaded and fried :-)<br /><br />My best tip for picky eating though is that children will eat pretty much anything if it is drowned in cream and butter (and some cheese doesn't hurt). And since children need lots of saturated fats for their growing brains, and a lot of the vitamins in vegetables are fat soluble, it's an all around winner.Lucynoreply@blogger.com
