Yet one more ultrasound

I went to see my now good friend, Tami, the ultrasound technician yesterday. The babies still look healthy and are estimated to be ~7 1/2 pounds now. It's not really possible I will go all the way to my due date (June 20) is it? If so, I may be delivering 9 pound twins. I was kind of hoping to have two new babies for my birthday on Sunday, but nothing seems to be happening right now.

I continue with my exciting life of sleeping and sitting. I fall asleep all the time. Earlier this week M. made me a big mug of tea. (Red raspberry leaf tea...it's supposed to help bring on labor.) It was still a little bit too hot to drink so I was holding it waiting for it to cool off. Evidently I fell sound asleep while I was waiting because the next thing I know, I've spilled the entire mug of tea all over me, the chair, and the floor. Thankfully it had cooled enough so I didn't burn myself, and M. was still around to help clean everything up.

The only other big household news is that M. has started taking Driver's Ed. and now has her learner's permit. How did that happen? It really doesn't seem that long ago that I was sitting around waiting for her to be born...at 10 days late, by the way.

O.K. - I already believed you are superwoman but this confirms it!! Two 7 plus pound babies headed toward their due date?! You are amazing. You go girl! Resist the urge to get on a trampoline. :) Your Dong Nai friends are pulling for you! Love, Mary Li

Maybe the twins were just waiting for that learner's permit so M can drive you to the hospital in a pinch!

Anxiously awaiting the big news, but I'm sure not as anxiously as you are..

We're also checking here to see when your little ones arrive. Praying for rest and comfortable days until then.
I understand what you're saying about our girls growing up - I sat on Breezy's bed this week and had a good cry with her on the day she graduated from High Scchool. I told her it REALLY was just yesterday that we brought her home from the hospital :-)

Oh my, you are just too good at growing those babies - they don't want to leave the comfy home you've made for them! Praying they will be born soon and that labor will go very smoothly!

I agree with Mary Li, you are superwoman! Our daughter is carrying one baby girl at 7.5 lbs and she is tired all the time, it's no wonder you fall asleep drinking your tea. I'll have to tell her about the raspberry tea, if she doesn't have the baby by Thurs they're inducing.

Looking forward to their arrival!

Love,
Carol

OH MY! I'm surprised you made it this long! Ususally twins are born early! But like Mrs. BroccoliGuy said, they're just too comfy.

Not to scare you or anything, but waaaayyyy back in the day (100 yrs ago?) my 4'11" gr-grandmother had 9 lb twins! A little bity woman like that carrying 18 lbs of baby! I'll keep you in my prayers to deliver SOON!
